Bead Counting Frame

A small standing frame with rows of lathe-turned beads that slide with a quiet clack. Each bead is coloured a different vegetable-origin shade of lac, so counting doubles as colour-sorting. The frame and rods are ivory wood, pegged together without metal fittings. It suits a floor or a low table, and survives being knocked over, which it will be.
