Ivory Wood Teether Ring

A simple closed ring of hale wood, sized for an infant's grip and gentle on sore gums. Hale is soft, light, and close-grained, which is why Channapatna turners have always favoured it for the youngest children. This one is mostly bare wood, sanded silken and burnished with screwpine leaf, with a single band of vegetable-origin lac colour for the eye.
