The turquoise stone is a symbol of the blue of the sea and sky. Infinity of the sea and sky speaks of the limitless heights of ascension. This refers to the Buddhist philosophy of ascending higher to reach enlightenment, which is the ultimate goal of every Buddhist.

The turquoise stone is worn in rings and necklaces as it is believed to assure a safe journey. It is also believed by the Buddhists that the stone absorbs sin.

A live turquoise is healthy blue in colour whereas a dead turquoise is black or white. The Tibetans compare it to the human life and believe the blue signifies a long and healthy life. Turquoise is used in bracelets, necklaces and as pendants.
