A plain handwoven pashmina shawl dyed so that one shade drifts gradually into another across its length — pale at one end, deep at the other. The gradient is made at the dye vat by hand, not printed, so no two shawls shade in exactly the same place. Worn folded, the two ends sit against each other like separate cloths.
