Kani Pashmina Stole

The kani technique brought down to stole width: floral bands woven in with small wooden bobbins, colour interlocked with colour across the twill ground. Because the pattern is woven rather than stitched, the reverse reads almost as clearly as the face. A way to wear Kanihama's slow weaving without the full breadth of a shawl.
